What host are you using? (Garageband.. Logic...) All will work in Tiger, it just depends on the host application which type of plugins you use.
Garageband uses AU (Audio Units) and some apps use VST's, some use both and/or more formats. -------------------- BPM

I predominantly use Cubase SX3 for my audio/midi projects, but consistently used all types of VST's very effectively with Tiger 10.4... I have only had a few issues where the lastest upgrade for Tiger was required to use the VST's. This action has been very rare. Hope this answers some (or a piece) of your question. Good luck! I am currently drooling over thenew available Vi's...but they are just expensive for me at the moment. Maybe one day. I will be able to go a buy them all. Okay...I am awake now. Must of dozed-off and was dreaming.
