Please!!!!!!! Pleeeeeaaaawsssssse3eeeeee!!!!!! POST THIS EVEYWHERE YOU CAN!!!!!!!!! on the sunday edition block of adult swim befor Family Guy was aired a bump it some familair sounding music was on it. I could have swore it was Apex Twin and it was!!!!!! Some little **bleep** completey decide to purgurize one of Richard D. James's songs for a veiwer mucic project. I am steamed ( but that may be due to a litte innebreation) (notice my horrible spelling). But this should not be taking litely becuz this shows how much people do not resect others peoples work in the way of think that nobody else has heard of them. FOr the case that i present i would like to let every one know that the song was taking for Richard D. James' Apex Twin album "Richard D. James" track 4 i belive or it might be track 7. If you enjoy mucsic to its fullest and really respect it you will not stand for this. this goes to shaw that **bleep**ty commercial software product like Acid, Fruityloops, Garageband...ect. should not be thought of as actualy music medians. I belive that Adult Swim realy should take more time in reviewing the sumited music in seeing lite of this. I hope that this kid gets sued!! MAKE YOUR OWN MUSIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please post this every wqhaere any as many times as you can to expose this fraud!!!!! lol fix up the spelling if possiable.

What is "sunday edition block of adult swim"? What is "Family Guy"? What is a "veiwer mucic project" the track was used on? huh.gif

edit : I'm not from the States so your post isn't really making any sense to me.

S.F.Selecta if you have troubles with spelling there's some spell checking automatically in OS X (control click on the window you type, chose check spelling while you type) it's not perfect but it helps.

On your post, it's rather hard to make some sense of it… But i'm sure Mr James is old enough to have (and Warp and Rephlex) some lawyers to see about this if there's a problem. wink.gif

Maybe they licensed it? I have no idea what you're trying to say though.

For our non-US friends-

On our cable TV there is a channel called 'Cartoon Network.' At night, after the kiddies are in bed, they air more adult-themed cartoons during a time segment called 'Adult Swim.' They try very hard to be cool and hip by having creative art and graphics and music features very prominently. My favorite show is called 'The Venture Brothers' and features music by Foetus. In between shows, they have small vignettes with clever advertising called 'bumps.' During these bumps, they feature DJs, remixers, or short pieces of less-mainstream music. Our friend seems to be upset over Aphex Twin being used, but since this is a nationally syndicated television channel, probably owned by some massive multi-national media conglomerate, I would assume that they get clearance (plus perhaps a bit of $) for everything. If not, Aphex Twin should sue and become the owner of a major media outlet. Either way, we win.

YO! Relax. I used to do all of the music for Toonami and I can guarantee that if it is the track you say, they licensed it. It's not like they don't have the skrilla. $$$ As far as ripping it off, that isn't unheard of either, as Turner paid me to rip off tracks all the time. I just made sure they were different enough to not be recognized as the original track. More like copying the "feel" of a track, not the melody.

FEEL THIS!

BASS IN YOUR FACE!

I'm sure that is the case. Big companies are very careful.

Besides, if it is not a commercial (and does not include any pornography, religious or political material) they can use it without permission by just paying the normal copyright control fees. That's the way it works in Europe at least.

You're right Coldharbor... They would never ever ever use music without proper clearance, double and triple checked. What song... What company? I don't believe this story. Who started this? Alright... Who are you and where's the proof.... Or are you making up stories? Details: "Or shut yo lyin' mouff!"

How do you know this? As far as I know you have to have there permission for everything.
