Hi again,

the question i have has already appeared in the "mac & peripherials/ hard drive" section, altough i´m not sure if it´s a hard drive or a simple software topic. here it is:

While trying to save Logic songs as "projects" on an internal drives , copying audio and audio instrument samples Logic refuses to copy data from the external hard drive, for ex. it doesn´t copy Battery 2 samples to the project folder - so : the samples cannot be found while the external drive is off.

--> I selected "copy audio files" + "copy sampler instruments" in the "save as project" mode, still only the audio files (used and unused) appear in the folder.

important detail: the hard drive has been formated and used on OS 9.2.
How to do the project saving ?

thanks for helping !

As I said, the drive should be formated under OS X (with eventually the OS 9 compatibility box checked on) to have things done clean and proper.

Now, verify the drive information window, at the bottom it should be checked "ignore the permissions for this volume" too.

Beyond these, it's IMHO a logic issue only…

I'm not a Battery user, but I'm sure I've read elsewhere in these pages that Battery does not conform to Logic's Save protocols, and in fact samples have to be manually saved from within the Battery interface, the same as Stylus.
