I have a small studio and I share it with someone else. We are worried that the elecetrics might now be safe because we're overpowering them.
Can anyone tell me what is the maximum wattage you can suck out of one plug socket before it gets dangerous? And what are the dangers?
Cheers

Well it depends… Check the fuse value of the room, and the main fuse for all the installation. Now I'm sure your compny providing the electricity can be of some help. Usually they have some councelling handy for their customers. Just don't touch things with the mains ON. Maybe someone else in Germany has more knowledge of the particularities in german power management issues.

If you have 6 ampere fuse for one/several power supply outlets, at 220 Volts - translates into 1320 Watts maximum effect. For that outlet/groups of outlets.
10 amp fuse at 200 Volt system will let you consume 2200 Watts, etc. Before it blows.
Sometimes fuses blow when they old, for no particular reason.
