Please have paitence with a newbie! i am new to macs, and not even a strong computer user to begin with. i am having difficulty understanding the graphics arrangement between macs and protools. from what i can gather, it is neccessary (or at least recommended?) to have an AGP system as opposed to PCI. now i want to purchase a newer mac and i am finding for example listings such as an ATI Radeon 9000 pro. how do i know if this is AGP or PCI? thanks for your input!

Save if you're a mad gamer or you really want high end performance (where the card can help) on the user interface of the mac, there's no need to run after the latest ATI or Nvidia.
Also look closely if it'll work with both your mac port (which you asked) and the OS you'll run onto it.
