Hi everyone I am new to the boards. I just wanted to ask how many different audio programs have you used on a song or project? I used Logic Platinum in OS9 for drums ProTools OSX - to record my solos Digital Performer 4 OSX- for pre-productions and now back to Logic for post production the reason was studio cost and time and money it just happened to work out this way no particular reason. this is one of my songs http://homepage.mac.com/musemaker1234 |

To simply move the audio files - is simple - most samplers daw:s (DP4 among others) can import aiff-files
and many other formats as well.

For sampled sounds the problems are if you have other info connected to the raw sound data,
such as keyboardzones/ranges, layers, fade ins & fade ots.
If the sound is loops/rytmicbeats you may have time/tempo info as well thats important.

This other "meta-sound-data" is usually proprietary -some samplers can read a slew of other sound-formats including this meta-data.

There are some special programs - Chickensys Translator - and others that can translate soundfiles back & forth in various formats.
