Does anyone have experience with this new usb soundcard (tascam us-122)? It claims "zero latency" but I've been warned about the general slowness of usb. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I just bought one and haven't had any problems on a 1Ghz/G4 Powerbook with latency. There is also an application that installs called US-122 Manager which allows you to set your Audio Safety Buffer from the default 2ms to 1ms which can help. USB is more than capable of handling a stereo input so I wouldn't worry about USB as an interface. I got my US-122 on ebay new for $185 shipped + insurance which also made the choice to buy it a little easier. Although I haven't had it for that long, it seems like a quality piece of hardware. I trust Tascam over newcomer audio interface companies who don't know pro audio like Tascam. US-122 Review
