I have two External LaCie 40gig Studio Drives which are now full, and its about time I bought a new one (Im also really tired of the noise they make!)

What is the best Quiet External Hard Drive available?
Are the LaCie d2’s any good?
And most importantly are they nice and quiet?

Also, anyone using the LaCie Porshe External Hard Drives?
Any good, Quiet?

Thanks for your help.

You may want to check out the Maxtor Personal Store 5000DV.
Both a usb-2 & Fw connectors.

7200 rpm ide/ata 133 hd inside an external box. External power supply unit.
Also a great piece of gear. I bought a 200gb for 306 us$.
