What Mac are you on and how much RAM do you have? The trouble with Classic is that VM is always on so you get a huge performance hit if you don't have enough RAM installed (< 1GB) and/or are running on a G4 based system... :-(
I wish there was a way to disable VM in Classic because it causes all kinds of trouble with sound playback (not only in sonicWORX but in other apps like old OS 9 games etc. as well).
