Ok here's the situation. I just recently picked up a new Intel Mac 17 inch, I've been running an external FW drive with no problems, I back up all my recordings on there, I also daisy chain my ipod through one of the FW ports on the external drive. I've had this set up for months, no problems. Last week, I picked up a m-audio FW 410. Once I installed everything and booted up, it worked great briefly, but then I slightly moved the external drive and the computer froze. Since that freeze I have not been able to get the computer to recognize all 3 FW devices at once, it recognizes the 410 and the drive together, but not the ipod. As a matter a fact I haven't been able to get it to recognize the ipod at all. I reset all the ports (shut down the computer and isolated it; then rebooted) But still it won't recognize the all 3. I was thinking of uninstalling the 410 to see if that would have an effect, but before I do that are there any other suggestions? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks

Does the iPod behaves normally on another mac? It may have issues (and I think it has). I'm not on top of things regarding iPods so for reset procedures etc, it'll be someone else than me… Now, have you zapped the PRAM? Apple how-toHave you tried other cables or exchange them between the peripherals?
