Hi, I have Mac OS X 10.1.5 and I've recently purchased the tascam US-122, and i've been having problems. When I connect the USB cord to the computer, the light doesn't turn on saying that the USB is connected. It only turns on when i switch to Mac OS 9 but i can't run the programs that i have on that. I would like to know if anybody can tell me if i updating my OS X to the new OS X 10.3 would allow me to use this?

Hi nickyboy, welcome to MacMusic. To begin, you don't need to make multiple posts in different forums. We'll find you. Now, as for your 122, I would suggest upgrading your OS to at least Jaguar (i.e. 10.2.x) or, as you suggested Panther (10.3). I would make sure you have the correct driver installed, which you can find on this page. 10.1.5 was long gone before the 122 was introduced, so I wouldn't be surprised in the least if it doesn't work. Keep in mind, you need a different and separate driver for OS9, of which you'll also find the latest on the above page (if you don't already have it). Hope this helps.
