Hi,
Just bought a powerbook and I have all my PC files on an external western digital hard drive. I want my computer optimised mainly for audio so I was wondering whether I should reformat the external drive to the native mac format or keep the FAT32 (gaining PC compatibility I suppose).
cheers

you could keep it pc format, try and see how many tracks you can play back or record to it at one time with the pc format, if it gives a useable amount then why bother re-formatting.

- do you really need the compatibility?
- FAT32 won't be bootable (you'll have to reformat it in HFS(+) if you want to install a MAC OS system)
else it should work…
