This is terrible news ...
One of the few remaining inventors/developers/manufacturers of truly innovative products - read "instruments with character and soul" - has gone bust.
Let's hope the community keeps our Wave's, XT's and Q's alive and kicking !!!

Hmm, this seems to be a problem.

Anyone know where I can get the Attack 1.2 update now that the website is gone??? Every website just links to it.

If anyone has it can you give me an e-mail at [LPM: Don't put your email in forums!!!! grrr]

Sad news, indeed. But I'll take issue with the "few remaining true innovators." I think there are a number of developers out there with some soul, not to mention Don Buchla and Bob Moog still going strong, all these years later. How many industries can say that?

That said, I think the whole industry will mourn this loss. A reminder that this is a tough, tough business.

Someone please clarify:
Hey, I'm sorry that Waldorf has shut down, I liked their soundbanks. On another note, does this mean that their soundbanks will be open to he public for free (since Waldorf can't sell them anyway? I'll be the first to get their sounds if this is true!

korektphool, no, it means that users of the synths and software will have the soundbanks, updates, OS available like they were on the Waldorf site. It'll be minimal support by fellow users : no sale, no commercial activities, no free stuff.

Now it's not even sure they will be able to put it online.
