hi guys!

after i upgade my G3 iBook 700 combo to 10.3, no sound output thru internal speakers nor headphone jack exception of booting chime. it was working fine when running Jaguar. i had downgraded OS to 10.2 after what happened to make sure it was not a hardware problem but it was working again w/Jaguar...

on pref panel of 10.3, drop-down menu or selecting audio out device is greyed out for int. spkr and no audio in/out is abled. but if i plug-in M-audio USB or other ext. USB audio device it works fine ^^;;

i searched for a similar simptom on the net but couldn't find help. does anyone having this kinda problem or just my iBook? should i stuck w/jaguar for the rest of natural life of my iBook???

Strange…

download Onyx for OSX and repair authorizatons and run the maintenances scripts. It could be somthing like that. I'm not enough litterate into X to think about something else.

Now from troubles I've seen on friend's OSX, I can tell you that if you upgraded to 10.3 and didn't make a clean install of the system it may go haywire. sad.gif
