Does anyone know where to get drivers for the usb-midi adapter from yamaha (UX16) that let me work on mac os x..

have you tried the yamaha web site? if its not there... then my guess is that its in development or not being supported.

But, do I need the OMS software to be installed in mac os x for good midi operation? gr gerd |

The good news is GREAT!, and instead we have midi services provided by the system. If you search in the OSX forum you'll have threads about this. And you'll know everything, who's gonna marry who, who's the traitor, the mother in law etc.
