hey. i have read all the other forums regarding midi and all that crap, but i need help. i have recently purchaced Logic, at a hefty price, and i cant get it to work. i really need help, because i have no sound. i see the bar showing sound but i hear nothing. if i could get simple step by step instructions, that would be great, thanks a lot.

First, have you assigned everything you need to in the system sound preferences and in the Apple audio MIDI set up (in apps/utilities)?

After that, it's up to a logic user who must answer I don't want to tell stupidities (I say some more than enough already). cool.gif

to play midi in Logic u have 2 ways: on a audio track (simply drag from loops browser to a audio track and u will see it becoming waveform): or drag it to an instrument audio track (then u have to assign that track to a virtual instrument such as EFM-1)... use the track mixer. hope that helps

Audio is not the same as MIDI, so to dragging from Loops Browser to an audio track will play audio, not MIDI.

For the original poster -> Please search the forum. For example I have posted numerous times the same "how to get sound from Logic etc." -ramblings.
