Hi U @ MACMUSIC!

I have some probs with my cubase5.0 running on Ti-PB550/512MB.
After 5 months of work suddenly the CPU-Indicator locks and no more audiofiles-even the audio-click- can be played back. Everything still works, but no audio. After restarting Cubase and playing back audio once, the problem is still there.
My disk/system/setup should be ok.

Would be great if somebody could help me!

Thanks a lot,

Ganesh

Ganesh,

I used to have this problem with Cubase and I got tired of it an moved to ProTools. I apologize I don't have the technical resources to tell you exactly what you need to do. But eventually you may find yourself moving to PT.

Hope this helps you out.

Trash the cubase5 preferences. that should do it. also if you haven't already, give cubase more memory.

I have never had this problem and don't run cuubase but could it be that your virtual memory is on?

If so it should be off, your 512 is going to be enough memory. and the virtual memory is just putting support programs on th HD releaving the ram for cubase.

Thank you all!!

After trying several things I finally re-installed the original-software and uninstalled all rewire-devices and unnessecary plugs. And I once more increased the RAM for VST to 400MB, now everything works cool again.

I have heared of people using the vst-crack which had the same probs like me but i have the original!! Maybe this was some rewire-confusion...
or a copy-protection-thing..
So far, thanks a lot!!
