Hi, i'm just starting with DP 4.5 and don't have the manual. Any ideas on where I might be able either to find a pdf version of the manual or just some good tutorials? Much thanks.

QUOTE (gicals02 @ Feb 20 2005, 02:45) Hi, i'm just starting with DP 4.5 and don't have the manual. Any ideas on where I might be able either to find a pdf version of the manual or just some good tutorials? Much thanks. Just call MOTU tech support and tell them you didn't get a manual with your legally purchased Digital Performer 4.5 package. You can get a replacement manual from them. That's assuming you actually have a legally purchased Digital Performer 4.5 package, of course. |

Thanks for the suggestion, but that might not be an, um, option...[feels really guilty]...Any other ideas?

If the retail price of DP4.5 is too high for you, try looking for it on eBay - make sure the auction specifies the manuals are included. Non-pirates have the manual to sell.
Don't pirate software. If you want a good cheap sequencer, check out Tracktion from Mackie, it's really swell and only $80. |

And [K], pirate copies etc. are still not a subject on MacMusic save as a general "politics" or marketing one.

I highly reccomend (Producing Music with Digital Performer) by Ben Newhouse . This books cuts to the chase and provides the essential information needed to get the most out of DP. I am a rank ameteur myself, but have benefitted gratly from this book. The book is published by Berklee Press [ISBN 0-87639-056-4] . I got mine via B&N.com, I recieved it three days after ordering it. DP is off the hook !!!!! It's half the price of LOGIC 7, and you can use whatever hardware and audio interfaces you choose ( unlike Pro-Tools) .
