Need to import sound fx into Logic from CD but only seem to be able to view them from the CD as iTunes files (sorry, I'm away from my mac at the moment! is that AAC file format ?), so can't get them recognised to load into program (aif files I've produced load easy!). I am but a simpleton, I know, so could someone state the obvious so that I can thump my forehead in mock (?) exasperation?
Have tried with Powerbook G4 (logic pro 6) and with iMac G5 (pro 7) without success. I know I have to take the audio onto my harddrive before I import it into Logic, but HOW?? Cheers, A thick music teacher. MacMac |

I am using Logic Express 7 and I just select an audio file and change it to a stereo file then I go to the audio menu and choose import audio and select the track on the cd and hit the open button and the audio imports straight from the cd. I mostly use pro tools but for that you can change your preferences in itunes to import aiff automatically and then import the track you want into itunes and import the track from your itunes music folder into your program after itunes is finished.

I'm using Logic Express 6.4 and had similar problems with Import.
What worked for me was to load the audio to the Desktop or Finder and then drag the audio file from the Finder and drop it straight onto the Arrange Page. This post has been edited by Adrian Delso: Sat 7 May 2005, 11:13 |
