Hi-
I'm working on a piece that was mostly midi, using DP 3.2 and MOTU 828 with Fast Lane. The midi parts stop playing for no apparant reason. I understand this happens from time and there is a way to get it back, but I can't seem to find it in the manual. Any suggestions? Thanks, norant |

If Midi is over a serial interface, check for some network ON.
Else I see only only bad drivers or cables. But I may be wrong… there's no lack of memory nor overdose of plug ins (audio or MIDI)? -------------------- Our Classifeds • Nos petites annonces • Terms Of Service / Conditions d'Utilisation • Forum Rules / Règles des Forums • MacMusic.Org & SETI@Home

Thanks, lepetitmartien. Sorry to take so long getting back to the post.
I'm using a Fast Lane between my K2000 and my MOTU 828. The fast lane, of course, is USB. There are about 4 tracks of Midi left and the rest are converted to audio. I don't think there's a memory problem. I've tried resetting the Fast Lane in Free Midi and it seems to recognize the Fast Lane and my K2000. But, although my K2000 registers on the Analog Activity "in" lights windows on the 828 when I play it manually, the midi parts do not. I can see them playing in the DP track monitors, but no sound is coming in through the 828. You think it might be that the Fast Lane is defective? Or might it be the 828? The cables are new and seem fine. Thanks for any further comment. : > ) norant |
