i have an edirol pcr mc30, i have had it for about 2 years , in the last year some of the keys have slowly stopped working, i have hard that it has rubber contacts for the keys and that you can use a hair dryer to heat the muck that is stopping the connection of the contacts.

can anybody help me i don't want to have to buy a new controller @ the moment

regards audiofeen

If it's no more under warranty, open it carefully and get access to the keys and clean things (dry clothes, eventually try soap/tipol but try on one first, let it dry and check)

In fact it all depends on how the contact are made. The idea is to clean, not to corrupt the contact.

If you smoke it'd be a good idea not to do so in the room, anyway smoke is bad for all electronics (they get electric cancer LOL)
