That's very sad news. He was the man! I was fortunate enough to meet Dr Moog when he visited the UK a few years ago and he was a really nice guy. I'd just bought a 'big briar' RCA style theremin and speaker from him. He was over here to open that big synth museum (martin newcombs?)and phoned me out of the blue asking if I'd like a look around that impressive aladins cave collection of synthesisers. He didn't have to invite me, he was simply a very nice friendly generous bloke. RIP Dr.Robert Moog

The passing of a TRUE GIANT who gave us tools to realize new and extraordinary possibilites of expression. One of a rare and vanishing kind...

Just came back from long holidays, where I only saw 2 lines in a newspaper. I knew since spring he was badly ill but it has been still a surprise. angry.gif

I met him while workin on the Superbooth at the Frankfurt Musikmesse 2002 where small synth manufacturers mostly analogue shared a week of fun and work. He was beside his technical abilities the guy who could be as soft spoken as his filters could GROWL.

So long Dr Moog. You'll be sadly missed.
