I've been running Pro Tools 7 on my old 15" Powerbook G4, and everything worked fine. I recently switched to the new Mac Pro quad 3.0 GHz 2 GB ram, Mac OS 10.4.8- and tried to install PT 7. The installation went fine (twice), but when I try to run PT the screen greys out and says I have to resart my comp. Is this a compatibility issue with the mac pro?

Or maybe something to do with my syncing with my powerbook when I set up the mac pro?

Hello,

I think I have the same problem.
I need some help.

I've bought a ProTools LE 7.0 MBox2 last spring. I used with a PC that time and it was working well.

I've just bought a MacBook (not a PRO) with an OSX 10.4.9 operating system. I'd like to use the ProTools on this Mac.

I've tried to install it but it isn't working.. the USB LED on the MBOX doesn't illuminate. I've done the installation as it is in the Getting started Guide, I reinstalled it 3 times, I restarted the computer 6 times, everything is connected to each other. I downloaded an update and installed the 7.0 to 7.1 update. But it's still not working.
I use the same audio drive I used for the PC, and I formated it with the Mac (MAC OS Extended (Journaled))before the installation. It's connected with a firewire cable. Although the ProTools program is installed to the Applications folder on the Startup disc (as it said in the guide).

Can you help me to make it work? What should I do? Do I have to buy the new ProTools?? Or could I just download the update? If that's the solution...which update exactly?

Thank You!
