Hi there,

I'm using the first version of Logic Express, before they introduced the Garage Band loop functionality.

I've agreed to remix my friend's band, but most of my knowledge relates to fairly conventional recording of live audio, or working with pre-cut loops.

Can anyone suggest a tutorial which will help me to start working with the audio files i have in logic audio, cutting up audio loops, changing the length of audio without changing pitch, and that sort of thing?

Thanks in advance,

Dunepilot

Hello,

You can watch a free tutorial here..

Most of them are in the AudioLexic (french version at the moment), in Logic article. wink.gif

Thanks, I'll try this when I get home tonight.

Anyone else have any recommendations?

Hello

You'll have to use the prehistoric Time&Pitch Machine to stretch loops in Logic Express (v6.4 ?)
Not so easy but possible.

I suggest you try Ableton Live rewired to Logic to sort your loops issues then record them to new audio tracks in Logic. The warp feature is awesome for this kind of job.
And you should be able to do that with the downloadable demo from Ableton website. No save but rewire is ok (afaik, cos i own it).
