Extremely well! Don't mess with outdated technology. The G5 is 64 bit architecture with core audio built into the operating system. Pricey, yes. Worth it, absolutely.

a mate of mine is running a yamaha 01v with the adat lightpipe --- and running ProTools LE through his digi001 on OS X on a Dual G4 --- and he is having no problems with it whatsoever.
If you have the money, the G5 is an option, but don't ignore the G4s, they still pack the grunt. Personally, if i could afford it, i'd go G5 --- but a smarter move would be to buy a G4 and spend the rest on a decent pair of monitors. |
