Hello there.
Pi2M plug is not compatible Logic Audio (4.XX - 5.0) Why? Because, Emagic didn't respect VST technologie 100%. I am working on it, lot of work, i have to include OMS. Pitch Resolution depend of FFT size. Biger FFT size = finest pitch resolution, but, more CPU Example (some fundamental: 22050 / 512(fft) = 43 Htz resolution 22050 / 8192(FFT is always power of 2) = 2.7 htz resolution. So, second and third LUCYTUNE questions are depending of each other. Its mean, with bigger FFT size pitch is more precise and CPU expensive. On my G3-350 with 8192 FFT size it use about 45% of CPU. Now, with my new G4 - 2X1G procesor it use about 15% (not optimized Velocity Engine software). I hope this help. Regards. P.S. any question and sugestion is welcome -------------------- Polytonic

Here's a question.
I'm using Digital Performer 3.02 with VST wrapper. The plugin shows up just fine, I just can't record any midi. Man I'd pay through the teeth for a Mas version. Is there any way to get it to work in the mean time? Just wondering Stephen Falk 2-Prong Studio PS Digital Performer can receive information from plugins through midi |

Invect wrote about PCs being better for multitrack recording. Here´s my experience: I worked in a TV-studio with PCs only. We had an 800 MHz Pentium for video cutting and some little slower PCs for image-editing and other stuff. None of them worked more than 3 hours without a system crash. I had to finish their Internet pages at home (with my Apple G4) because nothing worked on their Windoze BS-computers for a few days. Finally the boss decided to buy a G4 double 800 MHz and all video work went 10 times faster. No crashes at all. I use Cubase 5 with 20 channels of VST instruments and mostly 10 audio tracks. About 10 effects at the same time. Show me a 400 MHz PC that is able to do that. I´ll never give a dime for buggy Windoze-stuff!

Hello.
I am in touch with MOTU stuff which tested PI2M with DP - IT DOESNT WORK. That's true, DP can receive midi information from VST plug, but only CC (controllers). Same case as Emagics Logic series. Sorry, i don't have better answer than this one. I would like to tell you that i am working on the MAS format, but that's not true. Maybe later, for now, MOTU like Emagic seems not to be interested about this plug (i don't know why). So, they are not ready to help me in any way to make PI2M compatible with DP and Logic. Regards P.S. if i changed my name to Waves or TC-Works it should be different -------------------- Polytonic

Thanks for replying anyway.
The only reason I thought DP could recieve midi information, is because DP makes a plugin called trigger. It's sort of a primative version of Pitch to midi. You open up one instance of it on the audio track you wish to convert. Then you use it as an output on the midi track you wish to record to. It's mainly used to beef up a drum part. |

Before changing your name for DUY, TC, BIAS or another one, why don't we write to Emagic and MOTU… ?
And before that, They don't want to help you, does that mean you need some develloper support and they don't want to ? Could you be a bit clearer upon that. Also, OMS fine… buggy 68K stuff, condemned (when midi in X will work)… It'd be better if we could make things move a bit at MOTU and Emagic Stand Up! Music makers, knights of the macintosh ! ps : Djorje and Invect… Don't you think you're OT ? You'd better think so -------------------- Our Classifeds • Nos petites annonces • Terms Of Service / Conditions d'Utilisation • Forum Rules / Règles des Forums • MacMusic.Org & SETI@Home
