I have tried to search the forums with this issue but cant see it lisyted anywhere. If it has been asnwered before - I apologise for the duplication.
Last night I fired up my new logic Pro 7.1 for the first time and tried to import some audio files from a band demo to remix. However, Logic would not let me as it stated the sample format was 32-bit (which it is). Does Logic Pro 7.1 not support 32-bit samples? I am using on board sound for this week as I have not set up my Fireface 800 yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

No 32-bit import, even though internal processing is 32-bit and freeze files can be 32-bit.

QUOTE (gdoubleyou @ Jul 27 2005, 16:57) No 32-bit import, even though internal processing is 32-bit and freeze files can be 32-bit. Bizarre? Any ideas why? |

different companies uses the extra bits for different info. a cubase 32bit file is different than one generated by DP4.
They are not true 32bit files, otherwise we would need 32bit hardware for playback. This post has been edited by gdoubleyou: Thu 28 Jul 2005, 18:49 -------------------- G-Dub

With a audio file of 32 bit, you cannot do nothing. Of the present formats audio, at the most they go to 24 bits ( DVD Audio, 24 bit 192 Khz.)
