Midi Drums In Logic 4.8...dumb Question, i am dumb Options

i am able to lay down all of my instruments in logic, save, and then come back to a fully working set-up. except for my drums.

for the life of me the drum track will not save and i must re-do them each time. i record them in the "drum track" and the normal instument tracks.

any help would be greatl.
