Hey, I don't know a whole lot about installing new items on comps... I'm going to buy another gig of RAM for my Powerbook G4 1.6GHz. I currently have two 256Mb sticks. Do the two sticks have to be balanced? Do I have to go through a process to get the comp to recognize the new RAM card?
Thanks. |

Just remove one and install the new, as long as it's the correct memory , PC4200 DDR2 for the brand new machines and PC2700 for the last version you'll be fine. No set-up or configuration required.
