hi
im new to the forum/agora since i got my first mac with the purpose to use it to work on music, mereally as an hobby
i got in second hand a g3 with os9.2 installed, and other usefull apps as this one to open the cdrom door!... though the os9.2 installation cd wasn't part of the deal
i started by trying to install the free version of Protools, everything ok untill this day it started crashing opening a window saying "error type 2"... later tried to install the free Vision StudioPro, it asked for a font i dont remember the name for able it to work, i got it installed and then the same error that was happening with Protools "error type 2"
any ideas?
thanks in advance

Let's say there are a few obvious things for longtime macusers that can seem magic to newbies and switchers. Now, there are some quirckies (be it Mac or Unix related) but not on "simple" things I'd say.

We are not absolute Apple zealots here, we even welcome mac related talks about PCs on things we can't do (like gigasampler… sad.gif sad.gif sad.gif sad.gif sad.gif sad.gif I was pushing a bit the Mac zealot part of me wink.gif laugh.gif

not that my post is going to in anyway make some one more happy or grow on... smile.gif
but as some say "ignorance is a bliss", i am starting to think, "being a noob is a bliss" biggrin.gif
we can get easly happier with the most insignificant thing, as it seems biggrin.gif

and still about mac and pc software... what about the fantastic (right blink.gif ) Apples's Logic running on macs only, said to have the best fx processors in the market... ? and pretty good looking they are as well!

... oh, btw, and in the end, against what some say, MacErs are nice people <ihihi>
