Protools user transitioning.. firewire 410, dual G5 2.0 and can create/write input midi notes but have tried importing my midi files and a standard midi file from web to no avail. Protools it will show up in a track but no go with Logic. Documentation doesn't inform me in any way. Any advice would be appreciated. thanks, wc5

Soif, the mid extension is there. Have tried to import midi files into logic but don't hear them, can't see them and wonder if I'm doing something wrong. (computer guilt!). thanks, wc5

Soif is right, "Import" should work. If it doesn't it suggests something wrong with Logic or the files you are trying to import. You can also try grabbing the files in question and dragging them onto logics arrange page, this is the method that I mostly use.
Best of luck
