hey, i've just acquired 002R and have been trying to get it running on my Imac G4 (OS X) i've done everything according to the install procedure, but evertime i try to launch Protools i get an error message saying "restart your computer"...this just happens evrytime, no matter how many times you do restart the mac! i'm sure i'm just missing something that is prolly staring me in the face, but i'd love toknow if anyone has had this prob?

Have you tried re-installing ProTools LE, also make sure you go to Digidesign's website and get the latest version of PT LE. also make sure your mac is up to date with Software Update.

Also what version of PTLE and what version of Mac OS X?

Sounds like you're having kernel panics, which often indicates a driver conflict. Make sure you have all the latest drivers, which you can probably find on digidesign's website.

ahhh, i think i have the answer, and it certainly was stupidly simple in the end!
i am running os x 10.3.1, so i need the LE 6.1.3 upgrade! bugger! thanks for ur suggestions, much appreciated! jp |
