when i import an aiff (using cubase 5), i can only listen to it once, if i try to rewind it, or edit it, the signal completely cuts out and can't be restored. anyone know why this happens?

Yeah, had the same problem, can't help ya out I'm afraid, but my only work-around was to listen to the file (a voice-over in my case), adjust the levels, save, quit, relaunch; took about 4 go's to get it right. I have since retrograded to OMS 2.3.7, reset my studio set up, reinstalled Cubase; so I'll let you know how i go. If you get an answer elsewhere, post it here, cos I really need to know (if my little scheme fails)
Regards,
Ash
