I downloaded Finale notepad when I was a second year student of violin and used it quite a bit in 5th and 6th grade. we have recommended it to other young starting musicians - mostly string instruments. It worked very well for me and the peoiple that I have reccommended it to. It is everything it is advertised to be. Free- easy and satisfying!

It seems there is a bug in the mac version of Notepad, because I am not able to change layers. Has anyone had the same problem?
