hey...
i'm looking to add a new piece of hardware to my mac & turntables. i'm using garageband & reason 2.5 at the moment, and looking into recycle and logic pro by the end of the summer. i want to add a nice sampler that will let me integrate it with my turntables as well as my mac. i'm not looking for top of the line stuff. the sp 303 seems like it can do the job, at least for the turntable side of things, but i've heard that it's pretty limited. if anyone can shed some light on what's out there i'd really appreciate it. thanks! d |

Take a look at the second hand market. Second hand hardware samplers are selling ridiculously cheap, since everyone's moving over to software. You say you're not looking for "top of the line stuff", but you could actually find a top of the line Akai sampler (or some other sampler) for a very reasonable price.

Take a look at the EMU line of samplers as well.
They have for a long time enjoyed a solid reputation. Second hand gear may not set you back as much as you think. Cheers: Dixiechicken -------------------- ==================
