Hi everyone, i recently stumbled accross this forum when I was looking for stuff to make music with on my mac. I've read a few of the other "newbie" posts of people asking how to get started, but these people either had other equipment or previous musical knowledge. Let me say that I know nothing about music

Well im really a beginner too, (and a beginner in these forums, I dont even know if im posting this correctly) but I reccomend the open source programAudacity. Being open source, it's completely freehttp://www.macmusic.org/agora/forums/style_images/11/icon14.gif and it works great. I've made some pretty cool stuff myself with it. I showed my school (im only 13) CL (Computer lab) teacher the program, and she liked it so much she put it on the curriculum in computer classhttp://www.macmusic.org/agora/forums/style_images/11/icon10.gif

Hi im 13 years old too. I used Pro Tools free for months before upgrading to Cubase. You can find Pro Tools free at http://www.digidesign.com/ It's good for audio and ok for MIDI. You will have to get some harware to plug in your guitar however.
Korektphool PS im a rapper and made some songs using Pro Tools Free |
