ProTools FREE requires lots-o-ram. Also, turn off the Apple Talk. It should work on the G3 but it won't work on the dual OS Macs; those computers with OS 9x AND OS X. I spoke with the East Coast Sales Manager for ProTools and he said it was an issue they will take up soon. Don't hold your breath. Since they came out with the MBox, a fairly cheap system, they might just give up on FREE.

Invest in buying software. I use ProTools in the school recording studio and Logic Pro in the MIDI Lab. Buy from a reliable source. Sweetwater gives you tech support with every product purchased. Try getting through to digidesign when you have a question!

Godd luck.
