I'm looking to double my RAM from 512MB to 1Gig in my 1rst generation quicksilver 867 (single processor.) I know I need PC133 SDRAM, but can I get any SDRAM, or does it HAVE to be mac-compatible? (can I get it from a PC store and not have to pay Mac prices?)

Only buy certified Apple compatible RAM (but not from Apple
 There's much more to RAM than the usual few specs, and same chips on the paper may not behave at all the same way in your mac. Last time I had to buy some (there was a real price difference) I went PC on 2nd hand chips, and I had to buy 4 chips to have the 2 working I needed (I sold the other 2 to happy PC users) Save time, buy certified.
