I'm looking to double my RAM from 512MB to 1Gig in my 1rst generation quicksilver 867 (single processor.) I know I need PC133 SDRAM, but can I get any SDRAM, or does it HAVE to be mac-compatible? (can I get it from a PC store and not have to pay Mac prices?)
Thanks! d. |

Only buy certified Apple compatible RAM (but not from Apple
![]() There's much more to RAM than the usual few specs, and same chips on the paper may not behave at all the same way in your mac. Last time I had to buy some (there was a real price difference) I went PC on 2nd hand chips, and I had to buy 4 chips to have the 2 working I needed (I sold the other 2 to happy PC users) Save time, buy certified. ![]() -------------------- Our Classifeds • Nos petites annonces • Terms Of Service / Conditions d'Utilisation • Forum Rules / Règles des Forums • MacMusic.Org & SETI@Home
