i recently got this intership for thump radio here in friso. problem is that i love my mac, and the work that they are having do involves using sound forge and acid. basically, i take asome music and insert the company logo or soundbyte intermediately through the prerecorded mixes that are uncompressed. i want to use my macfor i really dont care to invest into a crappy pc. the station uses sound forge and acid to complete the task.
peace

Try Ableton Live, I think it's better than Acid anyway, and Bias Peak instead of Sound Forge. GargeBand is written by the same guy that developed Acid but it is much more of a consumer product and lacks the pro features you will find in Live.

www.bias-inc.com

Hope that helps;
