I downloaded ProTOOLS Free ( for Mac OS 9 ) and I just can't figure out how
you set it up to record.  My other audio sequencers are so simple to set up so I'm just lost with the way ProTOOLS works .. Please help me. |

singingcrow, I think you are partially correct about the audio card (but I may be wrong). Does it let you select your audio card within the ProTools FREE app? If not... you are not getting the full advantage of your audio card with better audio quality... I am betting its still using the sound manager which then sends audio to your sound card which may work... but I don't think quality would be as good as a music app that directly accesses the audio card from within the app.
