Hey, I'm trying to connect a synthesizer to an iMac and am not sure what\where to get the connectors I need.
I have a Generation 3 iMac, with 64 MB, running with OS 9.1. I'm looking for a splitter/firewire adapter that will join the midi cables (both directions) to and from the firewire connector, and finally the actual midi cables to connect a synthesizer to the system ... if anyone could point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated. You must have come from PC.
 You need a USB MIDI interface : MIDIMan, MOTU, Ematic..and two MIDI cables. You also need to install OMS or FreeMIDI to be a traffic cop in the Mac. Then a music software to make noise. But 64 MB of RAM!!!
