Hi,
I'm looking at running the above on a 1GHz iMac with 768MB RAM. Am I along the right lines for 16-20 tracks of audio & MIDI? Cheers folks, Nep. |

zelen0 - I second editbrain's post. Logic Pro is simply a new name for Platinum, plus all the virtual instruments. Emagic have (wisely) simplified their product line to just two versions: Pro and Express. It'll still be as fiendishly complex - ie, it won't suddenly morph into Garageband.
I used to sincerely wish Apple would sort out the ease of use with Logic, but actually I don't any more. Having persevered, read a lot of websites, posted questions on the Sonikmatter board, absorbed the manuals and bought Dave Bellingham's Logic Audio Workshop book, I'm finally getting it. And it's a beautiful, beautiful thing. Occasionally maddening, but generally beautiful. Seriously - put in the time, don't get stressed or annoyed by the way Logic works sometimes and you'll be surprised how intuitive it can be. Really.
