I'm thinking about getting a 1,6 G5 for my digi 002 system. My question then is very simple: Can a single processor G5 run the system properly - compared to, say, a dual G4? (I know that a dual G5 will do the job but then there's the money issue.)
Hope anyone can help? |

I was running Digi001 on a G3 350mhz for almost 2 years and it did fine... was limited on how many plugs i could use but that was it really.
You would have to really load up those plugs and automation to almost extreme overkill IMHO to bog down your system. ![]() There are a few new soft synthst that zap a lot of the juice from any computer though like Moog Modular etc and will limit things maybe. -------------------- ----------------------------------------
