Ok. So I can get midi data from my Alesis SR-16 drum machine to Cakewalk. I can see the track has midi events on it. But When I play it back there is no sound. I want to be able to edit the midi tracks in cakewalk and play them back through the drum machine. What am I missing?

Are your midi tracks in cakewalk assigned to the right midi port/channel? (the obvious)
and the phone support classics: 'have you lighted on the sr16, is an audio out connected, and volume of out is stteled to the right value ? '
