Hi, another newbie here. I have a G5 on order and will be using it primarily to record guitar and create complete songs using a DAW. I have narrowed my search to the MOTU828, M-Audio Firewire 410, Tascam US 1222 and the M-Box. Any and all feedback is appreciated.

actually... no interface needed depending on how demanding your music needs are... the G5 comes with 24bit audio i/o's I think. Actually... a good preamp may be all you need for good sound unless you need more inputs and outputs.
