are there any benefits/disadvantages of either firewire or PCI card based music interfaces?
in particular im trying to decide whether the motu 828 or 2408 would be the answer for my production studio. does expanding with an additional unit, respectively have any added benefits/disadvantages? any help would be great, thanks. tommy |

With the actual material, no.
it's just a question of balance feature/use, with the possibility to use a firewire one on location too with a powerbook. It may change with firewire 2 and Mlan but it's not even announced the killer thing that mays change the world
