I am working with a small local studio.
We have a MAC G3, older version of Digital Preformer, mixer, and a bunch of other studio hardware. Our goal is to be able to digitally record (to the MAC) around 8 tracks at the same time. What kind of external hard drive setup will we need? I am guessing a good, fast SCSI drive or two, but I am not sure. I am not sure what kind of SCSI bus the G3 comes with (SCSI-2, Ultra SCSI, etc.). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! |

If your g3 has firewire, and you are already using digital performer, I would suggest the 896 from motu, it will work with DP and it's simply amazing!
Good luck |
