OK This is probably something that can be easily sorted, but i just cant get the dam thing to work.
I got this peice of software through a couple of weeks ago now.I have gone through the Getting Started manual a few times now, and have also read the Getting Started section in another book i bought to help me. The main problem seems to be that i cant get no MIDI sounds to come out, even from the Tutorial Demo's. The audio, and Audio instruments seem to works fine though.I have gone through all the step by step guides in the books and im very sure i have done everything correct. And i am also very sure my Audiophile USB sound module is set up correct.I am also using this with the M-Audio - Oxygen 8. Anyone else know what i could be doing wrong or anyone been in a similar situation.I am using this on a Mac OS X G4 on 10.2.6 @ 800mhz 80GB. I am fairly new to all of this so bare with me please. This is the one thing is really begining to do my head in now. Thanks for any info |

QUOTE (TEK1077 @ Aug 26 2003, 05:43) What other virtual synths are there that are any good? where can i download any? Also where do i put the vst plugins . i cant seem to find the folder.i only have one which is for cubase sx.will they work from the same folder? i did try from that but i dont think they were working.i think it says in the book you can use this folder......... Have a look in the "Soft" section of this site at Virtual Instruments - AudioUnits http://www.macmusic.org/softs/softcat.php/...ang/EN/id/7040/ Crystal and Zoyd are both excellent freeware synths and there are plenty of great commercial ones listed and also Virtual Instruments - Logic http://www.macmusic.org/softs/softcat.php/...ang/EN/id/7026/ These instruments (all commercial) are made by emagic and are built into logic. You have to purchase a code to use them. There are 30 day demos available from within logic. Logic does not support VST in OS X, only "Audio Units" (a similar but better format developed by Apple) and emagic's own format. You can however buy a VST to AudioUnit Adapter from http://www.fxpansion.com/products_auadapter.html This supports most OS X VST plugins which don't have an audio unit version. |
