Looking for a good way to create cut-up beats and sounds like the way Aphex Twin does it. I guess there are several ways to do this, but if anyone could give me som tips (Sequenzers? Drum machines? Samples?) I would very much appreciate it. It's probable all about technique, isn't it?
!Thanks |

Have a look at Phatmatik Pro, great for slicing up beats.
http://www.bitshiftaudio.com/products/phatmatikpro/ You will need a sequencer host such as Logic, Performer or Cubase (logic is my preference and the future versions of Phatmatik will be Audio Unit only; not supported by Cubase). Have a listen to the Madonna "music" remix on the bitshift site to get an idea what it does. Also as kaboombahchuck has said have a look at Ableton Live. I've got both of them. |
