Hello folks...
I own a Fostex D-108 hard disc recorder, and I am now working with a friend who uses pro tools on his Mac. I'd like to connect my Fostex to Protools and dump song data back and forth, take my Fostex home, add some tracks, bring it back and dump the new files to his protools system.
I believe this is possible, but can someone tell me the best way to go about it? I want the metronomes in each unit to remain synced, of course!
Thanks for any help given!

Yes, the the unit you want to transfer the data to should be set to record and the device already containing the data should be set to play.
If the computer and Fostex are both fitted with ADAT I/O then you can transfer 8 tracks at a time.

I guess an alternative method is to use the SCSI port of the fostex if the Mac also has SCSI. You could transfer files from one to the other via an external SCSI drive. The only issue here is that the files will need to have a timecode reference for their start points or all start at Bar 1 beat 1 (0 seconds).

Does the fostex machine support SDII files or just WAV?
Does the Mac have a SCSI card?
